Mitton Lodge has always been a ‘social’ Lodge. Ladies’ Nights have throughout the years been a great social event and other meetings in which the ladies have been involved have maintained a family atmosphere.
Widows of the Lodge are well cared for and their Christmas Lunch is popular and well attended.
Within the Lodge calender the ‘Haggis Night’ held on the first Monday of each new year is usually a ‘full house’ event. Started in the early years by a Scottish contingent in the Lodge, it has maintained its popularity with the pipes welcoming in the New Year.
Charity, one of the abiding principles of Freemasonry, has always had a high priority in our lives within Mitton Lodge and will certainly continue to be, as we look into a happy and progressive future.
